She is doing great and is expected to come home maybe Thursday. She was expecting a 6 week stay in the hospital but will be out in half the time. He says she's getting around very well but still has more therapy to go thru. He says he's going to try and get her swimming when he gets her home. He says he's cleaned the house 4 times because he's lost without her and doesn't know what else to do.((((((((OFC's hubby)))))))) I was hoping to be able to call her but she doesn't have a private phone.

He said he will send our love and best wishes when he sees her tomorrow.

i posted here a bit a while back.

quick background- df-ed when i was 21 (10 yrs ago), left the jw's as a single mom with a 3 yr old son.

jw mom helped me raise him for the first few years, so my departure was a sticky family mess.

You totally did the right thing for your family. You should have no doubt about that.

Did your Mom have any idea this was building up or was she blind sided?

I wouldn't try to call her anymore. Let her reflect on her own poor behavior and see if she can see where she can change her situation. If she can't come up with a solution then SHE will be shunning your son also, that will be her doing not yours. I'm thinking she may be feeling alittle trapped in her own web right now.

You could maybe send a card telling her how much you love her and respect their relationship and do not want to deprive either one of them but................Your family comes first.

OFC surgery was the 3rd. Her son did update us on her one post but after not hearing anything for awhile I called her house on Tuesday evening.

Her son Richard was out of town but her hubby said she was still in intensive care. I didn't get into any details with him. Thats all I know. Maybe I will call this weekend and see if she is well enough for a phone call (if she has a phone and is out of ICU).

my mother was out in pioneer service yesterday with another sister.

their car was broadsided by another car, running a red light, drunken driving, and both women were tragically hurt.

my mother sustained head injuries, and some other broken bones.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother & her friend. I will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

That sounds very strange to send her home so soon with out watching her for a day or so. Older people just don't bounce as well as younger people. I think by this afternoon she isn't going to want to be going anywhere once all the pain and stiffness sets in. If she bruised her lung from the broken ribs in a couple days she will need to cough alot and that will be very painful. Does your mom have someone with her at home all the time to be with her? I feel so bad for them both.

Where is the driver that hit them was he/she arrested?

What kind of Apostate are you?

i've been on this site now for a little while and think its brilliant and its been a tonic in getting things straight and for gathering research.

(thanks simon & ang).

in fact its difficult to get work done during the day because of reading posts on here.. a couple of months ago if someone wouldve asked me whether i was apostate i would have flatly refused partly because the indoctrination still has its effect even after a decade and the negative connotation attached to the word 'apostate' is still at the back of my mind.

I do not consider myself an Apostate at all.

Can you be an Apostate if you were raised in a religion you never wanted to be in and got out the first chance you had?

I consider myself an informed consumer, they are selling a defective product and I choose not to buy it.

I have been known a time or two to inform other consumers of the poor management of the company and the flaws in the product they produce. Does that make me an Apostate or a consumer advocate?

i have been practically obsessed with this board since i discovered it, and i give everyone here credit for helping my husband and i leave the borg.

im in the window and siding business and one of my good friends told me that his boss needed some windows installed in his home.i met with him and talked about the job and what it would cost him,then i found that he was a pretty interesting guy.he goes on snake hunts in arizona texas etc.he has i believe 20 or so poisonous snakes at his home and is very knowledgable in the ways of the snake so to speak.well i gave him a good deal and he agreed to have the work done.. today we showed up to do the work and i happend to notice his calendar which pointed out the memorial.my friend told me that his father used to be a jw so i thought i would ask.it turns out his dad used to be an ms and either quit attending or was dfd.he never was very involved other than going to the meetings with his dad and i guess just being a kid.. about a year ago a dub came to the door and invited him to the memorial.hes been studying ever since.he says hes been serious lately and the message they send is sounding good to not only him but his wife too,shes now studying.. i couldnt help but mention a few points to him that i have discovered about the truth about the truth.actualy i probobly talked too much.it has only been 4 months since i was floored with the ray franz coc book.to make a long story short he is also wanting to question,has doubts but needs to be shown.

brought him here and he is probobly reading this now,however we were not able to get him logged on to post.. the un thing,blood,false predictions and child abuse are some topics hes interested in .if anyone can help especially simon to give him the ability to post that would be great.i didnt write his addy down when i was there but i will pm with that.please if you all will welcome ray even though he cant post yet.hes good people and doesnt deserve to be mislead by the jws.. please post your responses welcome zorro even though he is not logged yet.he will see them and feel encouraged.. .

please also post your proof of the different major falsehoods the society preaches.you all are the best.please help this man and his wife need and want help.
